What is Bikram Yoga?

Bikram Yoga is a form of HathaYoga, created by Bikram Choudry. It is 26 postures practiced in a heated room.

How is it different to other types of yoga ?

The heat and  the specific sequence
 

What benefits would you say it imparts?

.Bikram Yoga is great for flexibility, strength building, stamina, working all joints, ligaments in the body in a safe way.

How often can you do it?

As often as you feel you are able to, some people practice every day, others once a week – key to it is to be regular and consistent. We recommend at least twice a week to see benefits

What do you wear?

Clothes you don’t mind sweating in!

Are there any age limits to this type of yoga practice?

No.

How did you get into Bikram yoga?

there was a studio near where i lived and I fell into a class and instantly fell in love with it . I loved the challenge of it.

What type of people do it ( men/women??)

All types!! That is what is so amazing about it – really does attract all sorts
